Boston Qualifier!
Join us for the 12th Annual Buckeye Marathon, Half, 10K, 5K, and 1 Mile Fun Run.
Known for its downhill and fast course (marathoners will drop over 530 feet in elevation from the start to finish), the marathon route starts in the community of Sun City Festival before making its way around the beautiful White Tank Mountains and ending at the runway of the Buckeye Municipal Airport.
Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K runners will start and finish at the airport, with views of the White Tank Mountains on the outgoing section of the out-and-back courses.
The 12th Annual Buckeye Marathon / Half Marathon / 10K / 5K / 1 Mile will take place on January 10, 2026.
All distances will end at the Buckeye Municipal Airport. The Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and Obstacle Course will also begin at the airport, with the Marathon course starting at Festival Foothills Elementry School.
(Marathoners:please park at the Festival Foothills Elementry School - transportation will be provided from the finish line to the start line for marathon participants after the race).
This event will be run on a USATF Certified Course and serves as a Boston/National Qualifier and as a point qualifier for the Abbott World Marathon Majors series.
All events will be chip timed. The marathon course will be a closure time of 6 hours, requiring a minimum pace time of 13:45/mile.
Proceeds will benefit the City of Buckeye Youth Scholarship Fund, giving kids the opportunity to participate in recreational activities throughout the city.

On Course Support Information

Water and Gatorade will be provided at all water stations.

Marathon water stations will be available approximately every two miles through Mile 20 and approximately every mile thereafter.

Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K water stations will be available approximately every 1.5 miles.

GU Gels will be provided for marathon runners at miles 8, 16, and 22 and half marathon runners at mile 8.5.

Restrooms will be located approximately evry two miles along the course.

We ask that all marathon participants park at the starting line location (Cun City Festival Baseball Fields)

Shuttles will be available from the finish line area to return you to your vehicle, running every 30 minutes from Noon - 3:00pm

On race day there will be alternate directions to the Buckeye Municpal Airport due to road closures for the race route. Please usthe the following directions to the event area at the airport:

Race Day Information

Race Day Check In will be available beginning at 7:00am at Festival Foothills Elementary for the Marathon and at 8:00am at Buckeye Municipal Airport for all other distances.

Wheelchair and stroller friendly event. NO PETS will be allowed on the course.

The marathon course will have a cut-off time of six (6) hours; the half marathon will have a cut-off time of five (5) hours.
